These were very easy to do, but they came out spectacular in my opinion. I did a simple, cream coloured french, with a a curved smile line. Aftwerwards, I used black watercolour to paint a smile line and do a little gradient towards the tip. Then, I painted a random design concentrating the elements to the smile line and leaving the tip airy. Because I didn't mattify the polish very well, the watercolour slipped a bit but I like the effect it created. When painting with watercolour, remember to always seal the edges of the nails with topcoat, otherwise the design may rub off. See more about watercolour painting here.
Acestea au fost foarte usor de facut, dar au iesit spectaculos dupa parerea mea. Am facut un french simplu, crem, cu o linie de zambet curbata. Dupa aceea, am folosit acuarela neagra ca sa pictez o linie de zambet si un usor degradeu spre varf. Apoi, am pictat un design random concentrand elementele catre linia de zambet si lasand varful aerisit. Pentru ca nu am matifiat oja foarte bine, acuarela a alunecat putin dar imi place efectul care s-a creat. Cand pictezi cu acuarela, tine minte sa sigilezi to timpul marginile cu topcoat, pentru ca altfel design-ul s-ar putea sterge. Vezi mai multe despre pictura cu acuarela aici.
Because I kept my last design on for two weeks, out of laziness, this is what I got when I finally removed it. Weirdly, this only happened on my left hand.
Pentru ca am tinut ultimul meu design vreo doua saptamani, de lene, uite ce am gasit cand l-am indepartat in sfarsit. Ciudat, s-a intamplat numai pe mana mea stanga.
No need to panic if you see such a thing; as I said in the post about nail staining, this is a surface staining, only occurs in the first few nail layers. I gently buffed them and here they are, nice and stain-free:
Nu trebuie sa te panichezi daca vezi asa ceva; dupa cum am spus in postarea despre patarea unghiilor, aceasta este o patare de suprafata, apare doar in primele straturi ale unghiei. Le-am slefuit usor si uite-le, superbe si fara pata:
Because I left them without a manicure for so long, the shape was ruined so I had to shorten them a bit and I've also filed them to a pointed tip as I feel it is a very versatile shape. If I want them oval again, I just round the tip. I couldn't get a nice photo with them before applying my polish :(
Pentru ca le-am lasat atat timp fara o manichiura, forma s-a stricat asa ca a trebuit sa le scurtez putin si am decis sa le pilesc cu varf ascutit pentru ca mi se pare o forma foarte versatila. Daca le vreau iar ovale, doar rotunjesc varful. Nu am putut sa scot o poza frumoasa cu ele inainte sa-mi pun oja :(
